Production Line for Meter Manufacturer

The objective of this fully automated production line was to automate both the assembly and the multiple tests required to qualify the meters. The main challenge of this project came from the numerous references to be managed (9 components maximum, more than 30 possible versions), packaged in different ways.

Custom-made Production Line with State-of-the-Art Equipment

To address this, ASM specially designed a production line for its Lyon client, equipped with multiple cutting-edge equipment: 10 Universal Robots, 8 ATEQ controllers, multiple supply systems, 6 vision systems, some of which are embedded in the robots, production order management with exchange with the ERP/CAPM, etc.

An important project for ASM

This 18-month project was a significant milestone for ASM, demonstrating its ability to design a large, fully automated production line with a significant number of robots. After more than 15,000 hours of design and installation, this fully automated line is expected to be completed in early 2021.   ASM has designed and installed more than 300 production machines.
