Automated Packaging Machine for Food Pouch Packaging
The objective of this machine, developed in Sophia Antipolis, was to perform several successive operations on the fly and at high speed: cutting, filling, and then ultrasonic sealing of pouch packaging. This packaging is for pasty products (such as creams, shampoos, sauces, etc.) in sizes ranging from 40 mm x 60 mm to 80 mm x 200 mm.
Details of the different operations
- Production of flexible, welded, and four-sided die-cut sachets from thin films containing juice in liquid, paste, or gel form
- Continuous ultrasonic film sealing
- Continuous or discontinuous dosing and filling
- Perfect sealing ensured by welding through the juice
- Ink/thermal marking, embossing Batch number
- Film is fed from a 600 mm wide roll, slit to a usable width of 300 mm.
Results of the Automated Packaging Machine
The machine achieves a speed of 20 meters per minute on 7 parallel lanes, which allows a production of 1200 bags per minute, or 72,000 bags per hour.

- Filling range: 0.5 to 20 ml, optimal precision level
- Scrolling speed of 12 to 20 m/min
