Design of an automated test bench for gates
Our client, a leading supplier for the European market of gate hardware on the French Riviera, contacted ASM to design an automated testing machine for gates.
Objective: To validate the quality of the gate closures
Our client needed to validate the quality of these products by conducting endurance tests on gate closures. Working directly with our client's Quality department teams, ASM engineers had to take into account the requirements specific to the product being tested:
- Maneuverability
- Endurance
- Wind load resistance
Features and versatility of the Test Gate System
- A test gate with dimensions H 1.80m x W 3.00m
- Onboard weights of up to 200kg to simulate several gate models
- Colour touchscreen allowing input of the number of maneuvers to be performed with or without force measurement
- Versatility of the system dynamically managing different models and different loads
