A leading French manufacturer of gold chains worked closely with ASM to automate the storage of its various models of jewelry. The aim of this bespoke machine was both to automate the storage in a rotary filing system and to automate the shipping generated by stock sales orders.
The main challenge of this project came from the many references to manage (1000+), packaged in plastic bags of different sizes.
To overcome this, ASM specifically designed for his client a robot equipped with four aspirants fingers (venturi), capable of handling multiple types of parts.
The line was delivered to our client with the following specifications:
- Automated jewelry supply directly from manufacturing
- Weighing, bagging, labeling and automated storage
- ERP Integrated stock sales orders
- A 28-meter long line and 8-meter high machine, consisting of four cabinets (with a total of 4000 drawers) and four robots designed specifically to match our customer needs (management of multiple products)
